Brazilian IT companies go to trade show in California

Brazilian companies that develop IT solutions for the energy industry are now in San Diego, California participating in the 21st edition of DistribuTECH.

The trade mission is coordinated by  the Program for Promotion of Brazilian Software Excellence (Softex), coordinated by Sociedade Softex.

“This is a field that matters to Brazil, since the United States and Europe are investing in solutions for the future of the energy sector with emphasis on new technologies such as the concept of smart grid (intelligent network)”, declared John Lemos Forman, director of Training and Innovation Softex in an interview with Agencia Brasil.

The concept refers to the automation or scanning the networks that comprise the electrical system and is considered by some experts as the solution to the energy sector reaches a new technological level.

Forman said that over the past few years, Brazil has accumulated experience in the industry. “This is an opportunity for us to go there to show a bit of know-how is in here and seek business opportunities. ”

This is the fourth year that Brazil participates in the international event, bringing together the world’s leading companies providing services in the generation, transmission and distribution.

Participation in DistribuTECH occurs under the Integrated Sector Program for Software Exports (PSI-SW). This is a project managed by Softex competitive internationalization, which has the support of the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brazil) and the Financier of Studies and Projects (FINEP), the Ministry of Science and Technology.

The delegation is comprised by the companies:  ConcertNansenAxxiom,  Senergy and CEMIG from the state of Minas Gerais; from Santa Catarina:  WAY2; from Ceara:  FAE Tecnologia; from Sao Paulo:  Treetech and  Choice from Rio de Janeiro.
