Brazilian business centre opens in Moscow

A Business Centre  to promote the internationalization of Brazilian companies will be launched in Moscow, by the Brazilian Agency for Export Promotion and Investment (Apex-Brazil).

Brazilian companies will have access to business intelligence services, branding, identifying opportunities and information about buyers – plus supporting events and business roundtables.

A new market to explore. Russia is the 13th largest trading partner of Brazil. In 2009, Brazilian exports to Russia reached $ 2.86 billion, with $ 1 billion in manufactured products. Among the goods are sold more meat, sugar, coffee, soybeans, aircraft parts, agricultural machinery, auto parts, engines, fresh and dried fruits, nuts, chocolates and confectionery, footwear, clothing and jewelry.

Russia represents a strategic location for Brazil, as it will facilitate trade with Asia and Europe, and has excellent potential to become a hub for transport logistics between the regions.

Brazilians business centre around the world. Other business centre are located in Asia (Beijing – China), Middle East (Dubai – United Arab Emirates), North America (Miami – USA), Central America and the Caribbean (Havana – Cuba) and Europe (Warsaw – Poland).

More to come. Apex has plans to open business centre also  in Africa (Luanda – Angola) and western Europe (Brussels – Belgium). The office will be in Belgium to monitor trends and deliberations of the European Union that affect or could affect Brazilian exports, taking an active role on the decisions that impact Brazil.

Official ceremony in Sao Paulo. The launching ceremony will be held in Sao Paulo, with the participation of deputy head of Russia’s Commercial Representation in Brazil, Petr Pankratov, President of Apex-Brazil, Alessandro Teixeira and entrepreneurs interested in doing business in the region. On occasion, the manager of the Business Centre, Yuri Ribeiro, will present the main business opportunities for Brazilian companies.
