    1. Hi Steven, thanks for reading us!
Germany is one of the top business partners of Brazil. And there are many Brazilian companies originated from German families (Gerdau is a classic example). IT companies are a vast group and we would need to do a deep marketing research, otherwise you can make the wrong move. Brazil need trained people. Language might be a problem. One needs to speak Portuguese. Other thing is getting a VISA. You will need a company to sponsor you. Brazil is a big market as you know, but it also requires a plan to be successful, as everywhere else.
I have advised companies in this process. First step is to get to know better your market. Competitors and prospects. Barriers and legislation. You need to know your strengths. Brazil is not cheap any more. That comes with a growing market. You can end up spending a lot of money if you do not do your home work first.
Let me know if you’d like to discuss a plan to develop a business in Brazil. I will be happy to help.
      rds! Hildete

  1. Hi Hildete,

Thanks for your blog. Unfortunately I missed Cebit as I was on holiday in Sth America.

    I have some questions:

Which German IT and Telecoms companies are investing/doing business in Brazil?

What are the chances of German IT professionals getting work in Brazil unless employed by such a foreign company? Is there a demand for skilled IT professionals in Brazil?

How easy is it for foreign IT companies to set up in Brazil?
